26-10. RAAF De Hayilland DH-4A Caribou AKA
"Wallaby Airlines".
While the aircraft did many tasks, one daily task was from Vung Tau to Nui
Dat to Saigon, returning the same way picking up Troops and whatever.
The Caribou would also have a 110 Sig Sqn member doing the classified
document pickup/deliveries to each base, as part of the Signals provided
Air Delivery Service (ADS).

Walsh had a Australian boat licence and was the early boat driver until
'Coxwains" courses were held to train other unit members.

Comment: Major Ramsay
(OC, 110 Sig Sqn) was injured testing the boat in late Oct 1969 when the
propeller badly gashed his left leg. He was Medivac to Australa for
4 months. Major Lemon took command of the Sqn from Nov 69 to Feb 70 while
Major Ramsay recovered.
